Nicole Malliotakis
U.S. Representative, NY-11
Nicole Malliotakis is the U.S. Representative for New York’s 11th congressional district — Staten Island and southern Brooklyn — and the only Republican representing any part of New York City in Congress.
Born November 11, 1980, and raised in Great Kills, Staten Island, Malliotakis is the daughter of a Greek father and a Cuban-born mother. She served in the New York State Assembly from 2011 to 2021 — a district that included Brooklyn neighborhoods — and was the 2017 Republican nominee for Mayor of New York City.
In 2020 she flipped NY-11 by unseating Max Rose, and she was re-elected in 2022 with 62% and in 2024 with roughly 64%. She sits on the powerful House Ways and Means Committee — the first New York City Republican on that committee in 30 years.
As of 2025–2026 she is the only Republican representing any part of New York City in Congress, and she signed the 2025 unity-slate statement backing Liam McCabe for county chair as the party’s senior officeholder. An October 2025 lawsuit seeks to redraw NY-11, putting the seat in play for 2026.
