A Brooklyn Republican tradition
Lincoln Day dinners are the oldest tradition in Republican county politics — named for the party's first president and held each winter by county committees across America. Brooklyn's edition is the county party's signature gathering and its most important fundraiser of the year.
The February 2026 gala at El Caribe in Mill Basin brought out the full breadth of the modern Brooklyn GOP: the elected delegation that flipped three Assembly seats and a State Senate seat in four years, the county committee's new leadership, and hundreds of grassroots members from across the borough.
Proceeds fund the committee's year-round operation — voter files, petition printing, candidate recruitment, and the unglamorous infrastructure that wins elections in a borough where we're outnumbered.
